CLEARCORRECT- Teeth Straightening

Clearcorrect is an aligner system designed to straighten the teeth using clear aligners. Clear aligners are used to correct malocclusion. The system was developed by one of the most reputable and recognised companies in dentistry: Straumann.

The system is widely preferred as an alternative to traditional wires and brackets, due to advantages such as:

• Nearly-invisible appliances
• No dietary restrictions
• No obstructions to flossing or brushing
• Controlled single-tooth movement
• Remote monitoring options

Clearcorrect aligners is a suitable teeth straightening solution for many patients who also enjoy the comfort of being able to:

• Remove their appliances
• Regularly clean their appliances thus keeping robust mouth hygiene which is often more difficult to achieve with braces

The treatment process is pain-free and straight forward. The first stage involves taking digital impressions, which are more comfortable and preferred by many patients compared to traditional impressions.

Clearcorrect aligners are not used to treat complex cases and therefore the treatment often does not take more than a few months until final completion.
After the treatment patients are provided with a removable and fixed retainer.

Dental Veneers

Dental Veneers are thin layers of material (porcelain for instance) applied onto the front surface of the tooth. Dental veneers are suitable for patients who would like to improve on the colour, shape, size, and structure of their teeth and as a whole improve on their smile. Some people may also have veneers to fix gaps between their teeth or to fix cracked and chipped teeth. Dental veneers are custom-made in a dental laboratory to fit perfectly, look and act like natural teeth. Dental veneers are a durable and long-lasting solution compared to composite bonding which can stain and requires changing every 5-7 years.

Dental Crowns

Dental Crowns, unlike veneers, cover a bigger portion of the tooth, in most cases crowns cover completely a weakened tooth. Crowns are suitable for severely damaged teeth and severely shaved down teeth. Crowns also made of high quality porcelain material.

Crowns are designed to mimic the natural teeth structure, size, shape and colour so at the end the crown blends in with the patient’s natural teeth. The custom-made units are made by a highly experienced ceramist in a laboratory. Dental crowns might be recommended to patients:
• After a gum disease
• After root canal treatment.
• To protect a weak tooth from breaking or to hold together parts of a cracked tooth.
• Restore a broken tooth or a severely worn down tooth.
• Cover and support a tooth with a large filling and not much tooth remaining.
• Hold a dental bridge in place.
• Cover misshaped or severely discolored teeth.
• Cover a dental implant.

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges are a cosmetic and restorative dental procedure which is used to replace a missing tooth/teeth. A fixed bridge is placed on the real neighbouring teeth which secure the fake tooth/teeth in place. The dental bridge consists of ceramic crowns made in a dental laboratory by a highly experienced ceramist.

Dental bridges might be required if there is missing tooth/teeth which in turn causes aesthetic concerns to patients. However, a missing tooth affects the bite, allows food to be trapped, and therefore may cause tooth decay and gum problems. Dental bridges are a long-lasting solution that looks and acts like real teeth.

Teeth Whitening

We offer patients a take home teeth whitening kit. The at-home whitening kit requires a visit to the clinic so our dentists can take impressions to prepare custom-made whitening trays. Teeth whitening is a widely popular treatment in a combination with other cosmetic procedures such as veneers and dental crowns.
